Apple Takes Their Genius Bar Online via Twitter @AppleSupport

Don’t want to wait in line at the Apple Store for one of Apple’s blue-shirted Genii? Well, now you can access their help without moving your pyjama-clad butt off the couch at home, by taking to Twitter via @AppleSupport.

 

The Blue-Tick Certified account launched just yesterday, and in its first 12 hours has already gained 90,000 followers and responded to over 1,500 support queries, covering everything from iPhone battery faults to MacOS Parental Controls and iCloud storage issues.

 

So far, Apple seems to be managing the whole privacy thing pretty well too, by asking customers to DM more detailed information, taking the conversations out of the public forum; an interesting side-effect being that most issues are kept relatively quiet to avoid more #AppleGate scandals lol ;)

 

So far, props to Apple for introducing another communication channel to assist customers with their products.
