Apple’s Live Internet TV Project Suspended Indefinitely

Those holding their breath for the long awaited Apple live TV service were dealt a blow last Wednesday, with Bloomberg reporting that the project has, once again, been put on hold.

Rumoured to launch as an integral part of Apple’s latest Apple TV streaming box, the suspension of the project may hit sales figures for the device hard, as competing offers, like Sony’s PlayStation Vue and Sling TV, solidify their market share.

Apple hasn’t said anything official, but the rumour mill is rife with multiple sources claiming Apple was unable to secure deals with content providers due to arguments over pricing, a common issue for Apple it seems.

In the meantime, Apple claims to be focussing on content delivery via their app store instead, allowing content creators and media outlets to develop their own offerings to end-users.
